Illegal lights on a stock car?
Everyone at work is complaining that my taillights are out on my '79 T/A. I try to tell them that it has a tinted lense which gives the appearence of the whole rear fascia to be black. They don't believe that the car came stock like this back in '79. My brake lights still work and everything. Somebody set them straight if you know what I am talking about.

The brightness of lights lessens as you go back in time. However, older cars have a tendancy to lose some of their brightness in the wires occasionally too. Too much resistance in the wires for example. I have a '79 T/A and the lights are dim, though they are bright enough to see when you are behind it so you may have an issue with them even though they work.
