Well......
The ZR2 has a completely different frame than your blazer.
The ZR2 sets 3 inches higher than your blazer.
The ZR2 has a 4 inch wider stance than your blazer
The ZR2 has bigger axles and lower gears than your blazer.
The ZR2 has a special offroad suspension.
The ZR2 has a full set of skidplates.

So.....
You can make it look like a ZR2 from a distance, but up close the differences will be obvious, and you will never get the performance that you would with a ZR2.

The decision of whether or not it is stupid or a waste of money is completely up to you. It's your truck and you can do to it as you see fit. Personally I believe that the things you are planning would be upgrades and would be worthwhile regardless of whether or not it would appear to be more like the ZR2.

If you truly want the ZR2 style and performance it would most likely be cheaper for you to buy one.
