need help with fuel problems

hows it going guys, ok so gsx has a few fuel problems, first the fuel pump relay went bad then the actual pump and now i need a new fuel pump assembly unit, i was told that the previous owner rewired the fuel pump inproperly and in return damaged the relay, pump and the the assembly unit as well, so now i need to get one asap. if anybody knows where they might have an assembly unit for cheap rather than going to the dealership let me know, (ive called some auto parts stores and they said i had to go to the dealership to get one). im sure theres other options out there but if anyone could help me out it would be greatly apreciated, thanks

Every part I have trouble finding seems to be available at the Carquest warehouse here in town. If not there are always places like ebay, if you trust buying on the internet. I typed in "fuel pump assembly" and came up with 1 listing from Miami for $195. I dunno how much the dealer would sell it for. It wouldnt hurt to check with the Dodge dealer also. Some of their parts have different prices than Mitsu. I have also noticed that your profile says chicago. You could drive to the Mitsu factory and ask if they can give you a spare one. Thats the cheapest route I can think of.

alright cool man thanks, i called the carquest here and they dont have any and the dealership sell them for $500. but ill ask around and call up the places you mentioned, if i find anything good from somewhere else ill keep you posted, anyway thanks again.
