ignition coil wiring 2.5l astro van

I changed the ignition coil on my '87 Astro van with 2.5l engine. A wire from the right connector on the coil is hanging, and I don't know where it goes. It has 12VDC when the key is in the on position. The Haynes manual says it goes to the tachometer, but I can find no connection available anywhere. From the coil there are two connectors. One goes to the distributor - it's OK. The other goes somewhere?? one wire has no home. Can anyone help??

Thanks
