If I could take a moment of your time,

Hey fellas, would any of you guys be willing to answer a couple of questions about yourselves for a documentary I’m putting together? Just a couple of random facts that I’m hoping to compile in hopes of getting some demographical information on the custom car “scene”. I appreciate it guys, and if you’d be willing to answer further questions or have questions for me, I can be reached at [email protected]
It looks like there are some talented, dedicated, and interesting people here, and that’s also the target audience.

How old are you?
Since what age have you been attending car shows?
Have you ever showed a vehicle in a car show? How many times? What vehicles?
What is your education?
Where are you from?
If you had to describe your ethnicity, what would it be?
How much money did you invest into your car this year?
How much do you intend to invest next year?
Is there a particular style of vehicle/show that you prefer?
What’s the longest distance you’ve traveled to a show?
What do you drive?
Are there any particular makes/models that you prefer?
Are there brand names that you prefer when it comes to performance parts and accessories?
What would you say the most common vehicle is at any particular show?
What else interests you?
What would you want to see in documentary/TV show about car shows and auto tuning?

1. 21 years old
2. Since around 16 or 17
3. Nope
4. High school grad. On leave of abscence from college, majoring in computer networking
5. Hamilton, OH
6. White
7. Couple hundred maybe? Oil changes and what not. No performance upgrades as of yet.
8. More than a couple hundred. CAI, cat-less exhaust, more if money allows
9. I perfer small cars. Especially hatchbacks but my tastes are wide.
10. 20 miles at most to Cincinnati Convention Center
11. 2005 Ford Focus ZX3
12. Any Focus, especially the euro specs. Subaru WRXs, VW GTI and GLIs, 89-93 Mustangs, almost any muscle car
13. Ford Racing, Cosworth
14. Depends on the show. Muscle car shows, I would say Mustangs and Camaros. Tuner shows, Civics and Supras and WRXs.
15. I'm into computers, video games, comic books and beer
16. I'd like to see more of the budget tuners. People who don't have 10s of thousands to dump into their car to make every little detail stand out or tune their cars to the maximum. People who can only dump maybe 1-2 grand a year on their daily driven cars. The people who are out there like "Hey, my car may not be the fastest and the nicest but I do what I can with what I got." And I don't mean the kids, and I do mean kids, who slap a wing and a fart can on their honda and think theyre hot stuff.
