Turn signal / headlight
I have a '98 civic ex coupe with a problem.
SYMPTOM: When the headlights are on, then the right turn signal when used comes on and stays lit, does not flash. Headlights off the turn signal works just fine. Aditional symtom is the right headl is dimmer than the left. ACTIONS: I know that both the headlight and turn signal switch are the same module (left side of stearing column), and I have replaced that without affecting the symptom. I have looked for a possible relay but can not find one. QUESTION: What and Where would this problem be? |

Re: Turn signal / headlight
Have you changed your taillights lately? check if your taillight wires is connected. One time i forgot to connect mine and my signal light stayed on.

Re: Turn signal / headlight
Sounds like a bad ground on the right front side of your car. Because the head light and turn signal light is not seeing a good ground, the turn signal will not see a load sufficient to open the turn signal blinker contacts.

Re: Turn signal / headlight
mpumas hit it right on.
Ground wire on the right front side of car was loose, just like stated. Thanks a lot to all who responded here and with private messages. EBTDM |
