Unhappy leaking convertible roof

The convertible roof of my 94 Labaron leaks badly. The water seems to be coming in at the top of the front windows in the area above the side view mirrors. No one seems to know how to solve the problem. If you have a suggestion please pass it on. I understand there are floor drains but don't know where they are or how to get to them. If I find them should I leave them open. It seems that mostly the front drivers side floods.

Please help.
Thank you,
Bob

Bob:

I have a 92 that was getting water on the floor. Open the hood where the hinges go down into the cowl are the openings for the fresh air vents. I found leaves in this area. When I cleaned out the leaves the water stopped. I believe there are drains here that were plugged by the leaves causing the water to run ito the car through the fresh air vents. I am not 100% certain of this fix as my son left for school with the car immediately after I did this, but he has not made mention of any more water in the car.

good luck

Open the hood clean out the area where the hinges go down by the cowl. Since I cleaned this area in my 92 we have not had any water problems. There are drains by both hinges that get clogged then the water backs up into the ventelation ducts.

Re: leaking convertible roof

You probably either need to have the weatherstripping adjusted or replaced. The front side weatherstrippings are still available through chrysler dealership parts dept. I am going to convertible top repair shop to have them try to adjust my weather strips. If that does not work am ordering new weather stripping. Currently there is to large a gap at front corners and at seams for next stripping back on mine. Good luck. Linda
