very good deal. I would really like to know what the SPL rating is. I am running around 145 watts to each of my 12s with an SPL rating of 93 or 94 and they are loud as hell. Don't know what bass you're looking for but if you're on a budget then hell yes.

Re: Good buy
I wouldd save up and get something more reliable. There are a lot of name brands out there that you can get for a nice price and have a lot better quality. You do get what you pay for and if you are willing to go with preowned of ebay you could get a good deal on some nice equipment.

Re: Good buy
Like vinny said you get what you pay for. Looks kind of like the roadthunder mtx setup for about 180. I would do more research on the amp it might be 120rms @4ohm x2 @18volts. You have t watch that gives the amp almost double the power you would get in a car or 14.4v at idle or 12v off the battery. As for sickcallaway what your talking about has nothing to do with how much bass you will get im sure jet-lee or one of the other more experienced members would better explain this. My example my current setup is 2-12" polk i believe the original gnx series from 94, they have an spl of 87db, 150 rms and a 4 ohm coil. They are old for subs. Last contest we had up here i was pushing about 75 rms to the subs and i hit above 130 i cant remember exactly but i believe it was about 138-139 db. It was about 6 months ago and i forget stuff. But the subs from best buy if you want them get them but once again you get what you pay for, saving up would be you best bet, i spent over 800 on my first system and that wasnt even a good setup, 2-12" infinity perfects when they werent cheap, profile ca600, panasonic cq-dfx983u, mb quart 6x9's and set of infinity reference 4x6 plates for the front. Not the best but it was fucking loud. That doesnt include the wiring or the box construction. I would recomend sony over those subs and a boss amp over that one but i know how it is to want a little bass for a good price.

Cant remember who posted it but if you see it give yourself credit Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota. Cardomain |
