1991 Cherokee Laredo Dashboard problem

I have a problem with the just the Gas Gauge, Tachometer, and Speedometer. The gas gauge stays pegged past full with the yellow light on and the Tach and Speedometer jump around when accelerating from a dead stop. As soon as the transmision shifts they return to zero and remain there. Most of the time they don't work at all. Does anyone have a similar problem or has any suggestions?

My oil pressure gauge does this. I was thinking sending unit on mine. Your problem sounds more like a ground problem. I would try to get in there and figure out if all of the ground connections are clean.
