will intake pass smog test?
I need to get my car smogged "tested" to get my new stickers from the DMV. I got a shortram intake since then and was wondering will that effect my smog test and maybe cause it to fail??? Cause honestly I believe if i had my stock intake it would pass, but with the new shortram intake...will it make me fail the smog test? someone please let me know. And by the way nothing else is modified under the hood except for the shortram intake.

Re: will intake pass smog test?
you will pass. CA does not have a visual inspection that i am aware of (they didn't inspect mine). numbers come out the same and i have CAI. don't worry about it.

wrong?
uhh, I have an SRI on my civic and it passed smog...I didn't even mention it to the guys testing it and I passed
I also took my car to the DMV and had a visual test; got my registration, no problem. This was about a year ago, but I doubt anything's changed since then. Your SRI should have come with some CARB exemption info, and my sri has the exemption number right on it. I live in California as well. |
