Can't get fuel filter off of 1995 S10 Blazer
I was able to loosen the the two nuts that go into the filter that problem is that I can't slide the old filter out of the plastic ring/clamp that is holding it in place up in the side of the car. Does that plastic clamp come off or does the filter just slide out?

There should be a 12mm bolt on the top of the bracket going into the frame that holds the filter ring in place.

It is really not that big of a deal, just un screw the feul lines and remove the fuel filter with the bracket, slip new fuel filter into bracket and reinstall.

Ive never taken one of those brackets off.
I just push the filter one way or the other. |

Re: Can't get fuel filter off of 1995 S10 Blazer
For the tough ones try a big pair of channel locks.
Hook the bracket with one side and the end of the filter with and push. A littke slick stuff on filter helps. Piece of cake after you catch on to it. Good luck MT

Unless he wants to replace the lines or reflair them, DO NOT USE CHANNEL LOCKS. Spray with penetrant and use line wrenches!

Maybe I did not make it clear. The channel locks works good for pushing or getting the filter out of the plastic holding bracket. Yes by all means use line wrenches on the fuel line fittings. MT
