1995 Cavalier ABS problem
Yesterday I was coming to a stop sign and when I pressed the brakes I felt a vibration in my brake pedal, the car made a clunking type sound and my brake pedal went to the floor. Today its to the floor everytime I go to break and sometimes I almost lock the brakes trying to get the car to stop.
Any ideas on where I should start looking for the problem? |

1995 Crap alier....I have one too, and I have the same problem...the ABS light NEVER goes off... and if it is off.... the break peddal is to the floor..... My suggestion is to bring it to the wreckers!!! I am seriously thinking about doing the same... First the ABS.... breaks, head gasket, rear struts, 2 new alternators, 2 new starters, 3 new coil packs, 2 sets of wires and plugs, and I have only had the car for 3 years... WHAT NEXT????

Re: 1995 Cavalier ABS problem
This is about the age you will start to get broken brake lines... check your master cyl. to see if you have fluid if not you have a bad line someplace...

Sounds like you better put new rotors and pads on. These cars have a horrible excuse for brakes......
