I'm not up to speed with car audio systems, so any help would be great.
I have a Jeep Wrangler (2 6x9 in front, 2 5" in rear). It all started a few weeks ago. When I put on my turn signal, the speakers would "pop." I couldn't tell if it was the front or rear....when attempting to test it, I noticed that the fade (F to R) selector on the radio wasn't working. I removed the 2 rear speakers from the soundbar (was going to buy new, for no real reason). So, only listening to the radio with front speakers for a few days....driving around, and suddenly the speakers crackle like crazy, there is a very loud POP, and light smoke (w/ bad smell). Not sure if I only blew the speakers or something more. Since this happened, I re-installed the rear speakers (to see if I only blew the front 2)....but no sound from those either. At this point, not sure what happened....could I have damaged the radio somehow? I have to get this worked out...I'm in my car most of the day.......the silence is maddening...brain hurts from thinking too much. |

Re: Re: No sound
The radio has power and can pick up stations...still the head unit?
Do you think I could have blown the speakers at the same time? |
