Re: OK b16a swap stopped need help from the best you guyz!

My clutch cable hangs free just between the fuel rail electrical wiring and the spark plugs... never a problem... I did have it zip tied to the strut brace for a long time but realized that I could tighten it up more if I left it loose.

Edit: I just noticed you said no bracket for "throttle cable" I don't really have one for it either. I let mine loop smoothly, barely resting the looped part under the strut tower brace. It was kinked for a long time and I wondered my idle was so high... haha... stupid redneck mechanic also wrapped the clutch cable around my strut brace when he did swap. Needless to say, I learned some stuff and went in and smoothed it out myself...

Editx2: Ignore my ignorance. I figured you meant throttle cable slack cuz it seems awfully weird to not have a bracket for your throttle actuator...

Get creative with your d series throttle bracket.

I welded some flat bar into the necessary shape and then bolted that to the b16 mani and attached the d series bracket to it. Works great.

thats what i was going to say...you can atleast get 1 bolt in untill you get the right bracket...i wouldnt loop it around anything ...all you need is it to get stuck or kinked...that wouldnt be too good

turtle, there is no way in hell you are driving your car without a throttle cable bracket lol.

and dude, the stock clutch cable is FINE, ive done multiple swaps, two of my own, and i always have had no trouble with the stock one.

Come on now...if you mean bracket that holds the actual mechanism that blips throttle on the IM then yes I have one of those. I was talking about the brackets that hold the cable slack.

And yes having the slack kinked does suck a bit.

Of course I have one of those as I already tried to explain.

I really need to get a digital cam. Needless to say, winter is not bondo friendly but it's not that bad. From a distance the ghetto painted clear corners, bumper signals and side markers (to amber), sunroof delete, sheet metal/bondo fabricated rear 1/4 panel and refitted stock side skirt (whole car is primered) doesn't look that bad...
