My car dies randomly--I don't want to die. Help
I drive a 1997 oldsmobile cutlass with 260,000 miles. It's been a great car, it still looks good and I don't want to buy something new.
But my car randomly dies every two to three months. I live in a rural area, so I get to the shoulder, wait adn restart it. It will die a few more times, and then it will run really well for another two months before it dies again. I've taken it to four mechanics who say they can't find anything wrong with it. Has anyone else had a similar problem |

Re: My car dies randomly--I don't want to die. Help
This is going to involve guess work at best, right after it stalls you could check for spark, if none, suspect the crank sensor 1st, ign module second, best guesses only here, based on symptoms and frequency of failure. Next time post what engine.
