One thing you can do is go to an auto parts store (like AutoZone, Advance, etc.) and get a repair manual. My husband and I make it a point to get a repair manual for whatever vehicle we acquire.

What kind of brake problems are you having? I have a Hanes manual (I think that's the name) and I think 1996 is covered (I have a 1997).

If you keep an eye on e-bay you can usually catch one. I picked one up for $25. It was a little beat up, but it was the factory service manual with all the good info.
