Unhappy Doors will not unlock with remote or button

I have a 99 ford explorer sport. The doors will not unlock using either the inside "unlock Button" or using the remote (this includes the rear hatch as well.) They will lock but will not un-lock. Someone told me the relay switches are bad. However, when I switch the relays the lock continues to work and the unlock still does not work. (Are the relays located on the front right under the air cleaner?) I checked the door lock switch in the drivers door and when engaged I show power coming from the switch. Also, as a side note I have an intermitant problem with the windshield wipers, the switch in the off position it occationally turns on! (Ghosts I suppose. or DEMONS in this case.) I also, talked to the ford dealer he said that their is a module box located behind the radio in the dash that may cause this problem. However he wasn't sure and it's $350.00 just for the part.....
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem???

Thanks in advance....

Your relay is in the left quarter panel where the jack is stored. Pull the cover off. The relay you want to check is the relay that has 2 pk/o wires coming from the same contact. I belive you can swap relays to verify its a relay problem. Let us know how you make out. If it's not the relay we can walk through the wiring.
