Broken Crank Pully

Where can I buy a replacement crank pully for my 94 escort gt? Had it in the shop to get the alternator replaced....again....and they're saying the crank is bent/warped. Junkyard here doesn't have any 1.8l escorts.

Re: Broken Crank Pully

look for an under drive pully for it, it replaces the crank pully w/ a smaller pully.

will require you use a smaller belt
will give you a little more power. ;-)

Hmmmm, I wonder if we are not getting the bolt tight enough after replacing the timing belt? Better check mine out and get some loc-tite on it!

Yep. $105 for the pulley and the timing ring. It went out on the road and I had it towed to the Ford place. I watched the guy put it on the next day and it took him about 15 minutes with an impact gun. They charged me for an hour of labor at $110.00 per. Oh well. Sometimes you just can't win.

I like my Escort but don't like the dealers. Excuse the analogy but it's like getting pussy from a woman you don't like
