After cranking the car over for a few seconds, pull a couple of the spark plugs. Are they wet with fuel? If so, maybe you don't have strong spark, or maybe you have too much fuel. You mention the pump keeps running, but if you turn the key on after the car has been sitting for awhile, the pump should only run for about three seconds to prime the fuel system, then stop until the car is being cranked. If that is not the case, something isn't right. Try holding the throttle all the way to the floor (Wide Open Throttle - WOT) and see if the car will start. Doing this should shut off the fuel supply.

Also, do you live in an area that is getting cold this time of year? If so, and the plugs are dry, you might have a bad coolant temperature sensor which is causing the air/fuel mixture to be too lean.

What happens if you open the throttle a bit while trying to start the car? Does it now start and run as long as you are giving it a bit of throttle? If so, your idle air control (IAC) may need to be cleaned or replaced.

have spark new plugs etc icm making loud hum fuel pump runs on

have found problem went to icm brown and yellow wire tocold sensor grounded it out car started found broken ground wire going to battery problem now solved thanks for your info i just kept checking till i found problem
