cant retrive codes from OBD1 computer

I have 95 cutlass 72,000 miles check engine light comes on but dealer or anybody else can retrive codes from computer car runs fine but light is annoying light only comes on when car is driving over 50 mph and you take your foot off gas has anyone else had this problem thanks

12/2 /05 a young high school senior hooked her lap top to my car ( she is sort of the local computer wiz here) and figured out out to get codes she told me the computer was bad and it reacted from heat I went to junk yard got a computed from a junk installed it and now the light is off and car runs fine
