battery light on

I have a 2004 TB and today the battery light came on but it is not full light. it looks like it is dimed on. can barely see it on in the day. at night you can tell it's on but dimed. any help???

does your TB have a volt gauge? is it also low?

Had this happen on a 77 buick lesabre......ignored it for some time and then got tired of the light. Took the alternator into autozone and got it tested...the diodes had gone bad. replaced the alternator and the problem was solved.
