Can u get a transmission swap?

my sister has a 200sx se (95) and its auto, could i swap the trans to a 5 spd? (im probly not gonna do it) but ya its possible right?

I WANT HER CAR!! WHY IS IT THAT SHE GOT a 200sx and i got a lumina!

how much are turbos and stuff? what are some 0-60 and 1/4 mile times?

When I was looking to swap an sr in my freinds auto ka 240sx the shops added another 300 bucks just for the auto to manual, so it should be around 300, mabye more depending where you live...

was it 300 with the pedals insalled and all that , and the console and all that?

I don't actaully know the alone price b/c they were throwing that swap in with an sr20det swap...

thats doesnt seem like too much work i saw a walkthru for a saab and they took the whole engine out.

Guys but thats $300 just for little bits and labor. The guy already had the tranny with his SR (which included clutch, flywheel and other pieces). All they needed was clutch MC, lines and pedals.

/\ Do that, will get a better answer than a bunch of guys guessing. When I found a nice 240 I asked a friend of mine (has a shop) how much is it at his shop, he said around $700 as there is a lot of pieces to replace, including sensors and wiring. Unless you are really in love with your car, sell it and buy a manual one. IMO it will turn out cheaper.

ya its not even my car, its just that my sister may let me have it (if i buy her shoes lol)

i figure it would be alot of work to change out he auto stick and stuff in the console to a manual

if you wanted it to look clean you are right thats more stuff to buy. if you are a slob and dont care, or prefer to go with the my-car-was-stolen look, you can just leave it all bare and get a shift knob.
