1993 deville 2nd gear start reverse fine
my wife drives a 1993 deville with the AT60-E, reverse is fine, but very sluggish in drive. my guess is that it is a second gear start with maybe only third after that. I have not pulled any codes yet because we live apart, but i am there every weekend. I have heard it could a power or ground problem to the tranny which is what I hope it is. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: 1993 deville 2nd gear start reverse fine
You need to scan this for trans codes and possible solenoid issues, to be done properly this should be done with a trans capable bi directional scanner. Check the main plug on the transaxle, disconnect it and look for corrosion and reisnatall first. The trans is in default because of a percieved ( by the pcm) failure internally, either electrical or a mechanical.
