Help wit my new eclipse

Alright i finally towed my eclipse to my house. I realized a few problems.
First of all the heater and radio do not work. The drivers power locks do not work. There is a hole in the exaust near the tip. Also i am not really sure what this is but there is a wierd smell comming from under hte hood. Kinda smells liek plastic is burning.
I am asking for any solutions to these problems and how to fix it.

alright so you'll have to be more specific w/ some of these, but you may want to check the fuse box and make sure there isn't anything wrong there.

does the car start?

hole like what can you get pictures?

plastic burning is most likely oil, so check the oil and you may need to have it changed (er most likely you will), if it smells like sugary stuff burning, its antifreeze

locks could be the motor on it gone dead, my mom's car driver side locks don't work on her car either and its a chrysler (same stuff mostly)

check the wiring for the radio, is it aftermarket?

yeah im checking all the fuses right now, and we will change the oil tonight 2 and put in a new filter.
Yes the car starts but its the stock radio. Also what do you want me to take pictures of? O and also for some reason the headlights dont work. Im getting stressed out....

no biggie dude, as long as the wiring is still all there you should be fine, if there are wires everywhere though...you may have problems!!! these things are a beatch to wire up

o0o also clean the engine bay out the best you can, it'll help you look for oil leaks and stuff, you'll have to get the leaks sealed at a shop cuz i don't kno if you can do it yourself, and i sure as heck can't do it myself

sounds like a lot of fuses, also maybe check for water damage?? if you have some serious water damage it could be trouble for you w/ there being shorted circuits
i'm no wiring expert though so those are my best gueses

if there is a hole near the tip it shouldn't be a big deal, and stock mufflers are easy to find on some of the eclipse forums used, ask around some

btw where did you get this car and who from?!

I got the car of ebay for 6k. Also it kinda looks like there might have been some water trouble. yea after looking even further the dome lights and the thing htat shows the time just stopped working and the fuses broke. I think there might be a short somewhere. O also the damn headlights where burnt, not the actual headlight but like the connectors.
If this is a short how would we find it?

uhhhhhh fixing a short is a bitch, you will need a tool used to detect electrical current b/t 2 dif. points and probably 2 other people to help you do it, you also need a manual, and find every terminal for every wire and check it until it is all checked and running

btw, i was justthinking right now isn't a great time to be buying cars b/c of the hurricane . automobiles caught in the water and refurbished can be resold

The smell could be because the car was sitting in one spot of a long time. like when i bout my car from a one of those private dealerships runned by asain people it was sitting there for a few months and it made some burning smells till i broke the car in. now it doesnt make smells when i drive it after some service and a years worth of driving.

your car most likely needed a good oil change too, having oil is also supposed to be changed every 3 months so if it was sitting their for a bit, then it had old cruddy oil in it
