what is the stock rear end on a 91 caprice ......i have a 91 also.....day after it rains im fish tailing all day!!!!!!!

3.08 on 305-powered cars, 3.08 or 3.42 on 350-powered (9C1) cars.

A '91 Caprice with 305-cid would have 2.56 ratio and 350-cid would have 3.42 ratio.

3.73 was in the hurst olds and turbo regals and such

no 3.73 in B bodies

3.42 is what you would want anyways in a daily driver like this, really

look for a taxi or cop car
caprice, impala
9C1, 9C6
8.5" axle, not the little 7.5" axle

most of the rear sway bar equipped ones are the 8.5" axle cars

i actually fluked out and found a set of 3.73 with a new posi in a 93 caprice at the local autowrecker, there richmond i think
