help

a mechanic on my 92 tsi had a cam 180 deg. out of time and tried to start it...is my valves going to be bent again?

Maybe not but probably, Were both side off by 180? cause if they were both off then the car just wouldn't start but if only one was the valves probably hit each other.

more help

it was just one side but somehow it didnt bend them i finally got my dsm back today...after 2 months of shop care...i now have another problem though.

i have no power when the car isnt started. my accessory doesnt even work and when i take the key out the seat belt doesnt go down...when im driving i turn on my stereo and itll play for a few minutes then itll go off then back on...i turn my lights on when my cars running and when i hit the brake they dim along with my dash lights...

Have the battery checked to see if it is in need of replacement and also have your altenator checked cause whats going on is a power problem which usually is caused by one of the two noted above.

Man I would go break my foot on that mechanics ass, thats exactly why I work on my cars, not anyone else. The power problem sounds like an alternator to me. I'd get it and the battery checked out.

As was stated, you have a power problem. Look into the battery and alternator, if those don't work, post back.
