96 Stratus stalling problems
Just bought a used 96 Stratus, and the engine has stalled a few times while driving on the highway. No warning, just shut off. Lights stayed on, so was not the battery. Pulled over, and car would not start. 5 minutes later it started. This has happened a couple of times. There was also a message showing on the odometer when trying to start "NO BUS". Dealership did not find anything wrong after hooking up the the computer. Need help. Any suggestions?

well something like this happened to me before and it was the electrical wiring going to the coil. the clip on the wiring was broken off and when i would hit a bump the wiring would loosen and make my car die.

Re: 96 Stratus stalling problems
what happens 65 start-ups ago usually doesn't have a major bearing on the current start-up cycle. If the modules can't talk, the car won't start; like if your spinal cord is injured, you'll loose feeling to one or more of your extremities in your body, same with the bus signal with your car. What the dealer is telling is half-right. The 65 start-up is not necessarily true. It really sounds like a bad connection somewhere, more than likely in your instrument cluster itself where there is corrosion or something else going screwy.
