97 tracker won't start
My problem is the starter clicks and no start. Replaced with a brand new starter and all the batter connections and still clicks with no start. Anything else I should do?

Re: Re: 97 tracker won't start
Battery is brand new and so are the connections, starter, fuses. I've never had this strange of a problem before. All I can hear is the brand new starter clicking. Like it has a dead battery but it doesn't. This vehicle has had no problems and has 60k. Maybe the ecm??

Re: 97 tracker won't start
can you rotate engine by hand. if you can try jumping the soliniod directly from the battery if it turn over check switch on clutch if you have a manual transmission if you have automatic try putting it in neutral .

Re: Re: 97 tracker won't start
could be the new starter is defective. Have seen that happen before. Was it a quality rebuilt or an inexpensive one?
