White smoke=poor intake gasket

I own a 1989 7.4 burb that has started puffing out white smoke (and moisture) at startup. It also has a bit of a sputtering feel at idle (but more noticeable at slower driving speed/acceleration) I saw another post with similar case and the intake gasket seemed to be the prob. Also noticing a bit of oil or moisture where the manifold and header connect that seems to be oily? Any help would be appreciated before I take it into the shop. Thanks
