engine

i have an 1995 Eagle Talon Esi 2.0 engine, i just recently put in a water pump in it, i checked the timing to make sure it was timed right , i even had a local shop make sure. ..but now the engine doesnt run good..it keeps wanting to die, unless i give it gas..

Re: engine

Has it done this ever since you changed the water pump? If so, the only thing you can do is retime the motor. you are probably off 1 tooth on one of the gears.

Re: engine

i'm guessing the timing is off...it has to be EXACT or the car will run pretty crappy. follow the guide in the chiltons manual, it's a pretty good one. and do it like it says, don't just go by the pictures and headlines

Re: engine

you may have also accidentally given yourself a vacuum leak when replacing the water pump.
