ram air hood

well, i purchased my ram air hood today. it should be here by the end of the week. ran about $900.00 w/shipping and will cost about $350 to paint. the air box wont be ready until feb. ($200) so its for looks now.theair box by-passes the cold air intake and connects directly to the throttle body i will post pics as soon as i can.

Thats the paint I have on my 2001 LS ext cab.
I really like that exhaust y ou have there. Tell me more about it. Is it a single in dual out? Is it dumped out on the other side too? I have an old ford that opted to run the exhaust out right before the back wheels. I like that look and sound. So whatcha got for exhaust??

PS did you exceed the ASI line on the front windshield?? I noticed the tint comes down pretty far.

yeah i had them put the tint way down cause its so damn sunny here in florida....and my exhaust is a gibson super sport dual. i like it alot. 95 db turns some heads.

you can get in trouble for the tint being that low. I have never heard of anyone actually getting a ticket, but there is a law. anyway, it looks cool!! When will your hood be on??

They changed the tint law in MS where if you have tint below 35%, you can't get a inspection sticker. It sucks really bad.

i have never heard of anyone getting a ticket either. fortunally we dont have inspections down here so as far as im concerned no harm no foul.
hood will be on w/in a couple of weeks. I CANT WAIT./....

About 3 years ago...after getting pulled over for speeding in Kansas the city officer chacked my windows for tint %...I got a ticket for my tint being to dark...it was about $60 i think. Not to mention the $200+ for the speeding ticket. Lesson learned: Slow down and don't give them a reason to check the window tint...3 years later I still have the same tint and not another ticket or warning for that matter (knocking on wood!).

I have my entire windsheild tinted on my truck I think it is awesome. I have a ticket for that too, but like the above poster they had good reason to pull me over. 85 in a 60
