can a 1.5 liter go into a 3rd gen eclipse
can any one tell me if a 1.5 liter from a mirage can swap with an older 3rd gen eclipse.

let me see if i got this right, you want to put a 1.5 into an eclipse? why? only reason i can think of anyone doing such a thing is fuel efficiency, and even then the car would be grossly underpowered.

so you want to salvage parts out of both cars to make one working car. makes sense if you just need something to get around on. i guess you originally started this thread to get some info on the subject. sorry i couldn't help you. if you do it keep us posted.

why not use the 4 grand to buy a eclipse motor,
its a waste of time to try to swap this man. power to weight the 1.5 is in about the heaviest car you want in to be in, imagine 93 hp in a clipse that would pretty sad, as for bein able to do it, yea it can be done. it has to be 97+ 1.5 and i hope your gonna atleast swap the tranny with too. this is the first time i have ever seen this kinda topic, except that time they swapped a B16 in a early 90s rustang, man this is crazy. i wanna see this.
