2005 4Runner - How to replace drivers sideview mirror

My drivers sideview mirror on my 2005 4Runner was hit by a truck and the glass and part of the mirror housing was cracked. I purchased a new mirror at the dealer ($285.00 - thank God it wasn't a heated mirror!) and attempted to remove the door panel but cannot see how it comes off. Does anyone know? Are any special tools required. What, if anything do I need to be especially careful about? I changed the mirror in my Camary a few times - is there anything different? Any help will be appreciated.
