light bulbs not working ???

The light bulbs that luminate the controls for the cruisecontrol located on the steering wheel of my 98 mountaineer are out. Has anyone any knowledge on how to check and/or replace these?

Jungle, Believe it or not I have the same problem. I was wondering if you have found the answer for this problem. A friend and I was looking at it and all we can come up with the screws in the back of the steering wheel. BUT, we are afraid of setting off the air bag. Thanks let me know. Minears

Does the cruise control and the horn work ok? I think power is fed to them through the clockspring?
