How many insane asylums are in Pittsburgh, and which one are you calling home? Just a single fender in good shape would be close to 500 bucks. Or did you mean to type $5000 for a needs-work project car?

Re: 69 Chevelle

I meant a 69 Chevelle for under $500.

I didn't say what shape that particular 69 Chevelle would have to be in...just that it costs $500 or below.

Re: 69 Chevelle

Take a look at ebay Motors and you'll see that there are plenty of Chevelles for sale for $500 or less. The only difference is that I want one that I don't have to ship halfway across the world.

Re: 69 Chevelle

Well it doesn't hurt for you to ask I suppose. And you just might find one too, although '69 and '70 models are scooped up quicker than any other when the price is under 5 grand.
If you do find one for under 500, PLEASE don't tell us. We just might cry. Only joking, good luck!

Out of boredom and curiosity I just checked E-bay like you suggested. The lowest priced '69 was a brand new listing that is currently up to $1000. No telling how high it will go for, there is still 8+ days left on the auction. And this particular vehicle is a rust pile with no engine or tranny.
The next lowest priced one was $2500 for a rusty heap of partial parts and the bidding wasn't over yet.

You might want to start looking in old barns and backyards for your $500 car, somewhere is a '69 whose owner has no clue what it is worth. Have your cash and a trailer ready!

Re: 69 Chevelle

Got my 1970 Chevelle [w/ Mark IV 396/402] for $1000. The engine is worth more than that.

If you look, you can find em.

Other than fuel mileage, there's nothing wrong with your dream car. What does he say about it? This ought to be interesting....

Smile Re: 69 Chevelle

I agree about the 70 ss454...but the 69 is my dad's favorite...which is why I want to find one...a good fixer-upper for him.

It's good to know that cheap old muscle cars are still out there just waiting to be fixed up. Thanks for the cool pics!
