replacing old engine & transmission

i need a little bit of help. I am looking to replace my old engine & transmission. But I don't know what else i need besides the engine & transmission. Do I need anything else besides those 2 things. PLease help

Depends on the stock engine, and what engine you're replacing it with.

replacing it with stock.i am just replacing it because my car is running real weak & my mechanic stated it also. he recommended both engine & tranny

The you won't need anything else. Simply swap out the old and in with the new.

thank you. i just wanted to make sure that my mechanic is not going to say that i nedd something additional. See I am getting engine & trans for around $700. & he wants to charge me around $2500 for him to get one & install it.

2500, might as well buy a b16 already. that is way too high. the highest, which is still high i would go would be 1500.

for 2500, he better be replacing the timing belt with waterpump, 2 main seals, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, coil, new cv boots, new diff seals, clutch

i don't even know. I would like to get a little bit of a faster engine than a stock. I only have about $2000 to play with. That is with the labor.
