Anyone have real experiences with Vectors?
Does anyone have a real experience with Vectors? Does anyone know of someone who's dealt with Vector (the company or the car)? I'm looking for the REAL DEAL, not some bogus story about how your Playmate friend's boyfriend had two....

I'm such a nerd. I saw this thread and thought about vectors in the mathematical sense. I was going to pull out the matrix multiplication for you. Anyway, I'll go back to the nerdery now and continue with my nerd things. You all have fun now.

Vectors have always seemed to be the enigma of the auto world. Solid facts or experiences are hard to find.
Welcome to the board, Hudson.

Vectors are rare...but they do exist. I've seen (in person) two W8s and four or five M12s (it's iffy because one of them was under construction at the time).

I can't just give out his name and info, without consulting him first. Can I ask your interest in contacting him?

Yellow Vector
If any of you guys want to see the ONLY yellow vector ever built (not sure what model) go the the Los Gatos Auto Mall in california. I just took my hummer there and they were working on the engine. Just dont get work or anything done there, they will rip you off as much as possible. I just wanted my new tires rotated on my Hummer and they charged me $750 :finger: and they didnt even tell me an estamate they just whent along and did it. It should have been no more than $300. you should check out the vector, i think it was a w8 or something

There were THREE yellow Vectors.
Vectors were produced in Wilmington, CA, from 1990 until 1993, when production moved to Green Cove Springs (and later Jacksonville), FL. Production ended back in 1999. |

Then a guy in Florida bought the car. The W8 needed some work, so the guy decided to alter the engine and other parts. Rumor is the car had 1000bhp (600bhp was stock rating), but I have never seen proof of that. The current owner, who lives in Northern California, has taken on challenge of making that car run right with 900 plus horsepower. The Florida guys did some "mickey mouse" things to the car. In a sense, it sad the car is not fully original, but it is going to be a very fast car when it back on the road. Quote:
One non-production, as if you can call any Vector a real prodcution car, is the SRV8. 17 M12s were built, 1 W2, 2 preporduction W8s, 17 production W8s, 1 WX3 coupe, 1 WXS roadster, and the SRV8. You might count the very weak IMSA Vector race cars. |

Seeing one would be a waste of time for me. I would faint at the first sight of it, then It'd be gone by the time I woke up
, or I would crash into somethjing looking at it if I was driving, lol
