87 CRX quit running

I just dropped a fresh motor into my 87 CRX. I started it up and drove it for about 12 minutes and then it died. At that point, the main relay started buzzing.

The ECU is not lighting up a troubleshooting code and the dashboard warning light is not lighting up.

There is spark but appearantly no fuel. The fuel pump runs but does not shut off and the main relay still buzzes. Why would the fuel pump not shut off after a couple seconds when I turn on the ignition?

I replaced the main relay and the ECU with used parts but I still have the same problem.

Are there any other units that might cause this problem?

Re: 87 CRX quit running

Did you change ANY of the wiring? Do you have your fuel lines routed correctly?

To me, this problem sounds like the main relay since it has a direct effect on the fuel pump. A used relay is not gauranteed to work.
