Looking for a Supercharger

I'm looking for a supercharger for a buddys 94 Ford Thunderbird LX 4.6L Automatic Tranny. I've searched but could only find superchargers for just under $4000. Now I know that if he wants performance he shouldn't go cheap but where can he find a cheap Supercharger New/Used whatever just any suggestions.

Re: Looking for a Supercharger

Um. I know the most popular supercharging kit is the AED Blower. I've seen a few birds with the more conventional centrifugal style blower, but this setup is generally more expensive (more fabing to do). I dont think there are any S/C kits for the 4.6 Thunderbird, under $4K

http://www.supercoupeperformance.com has the AED Blower kit.

How would you mount the alternator? What else would you have to mod to make the last link... work?

I never installed one.
Here are a few pics of one installed on a '02 Explorer engine.

Re: Looking for a Supercharger

Does this work on non PI heads? cause an 02 explorer would have the pi heads and intake and as you know a 94 bird deffinately does not have the PI engine.
