98 regal door won't open

passanger door won't open from outside or inside tried a slim jim but no luck.any help much appricated

I don't Know if this will help but I just had two locks on my regal which would not open first check and see if the manual lock sounds like the other locks, if it moves to freely your problem may be the same as mine.
First, you need to remove the door panel, which, in itself, is quite difficult. There are two rods: one is the inside door handle and the second one, just above, is for the lock. The higher one goes to an electronic device which is connected to the actual pivot point on the door lock mechanism. The higher rod has a 90 degree bend which fits in a plastic gromit that locks it in place. If this has lifted out, you will not be able to open the door from the inside or outside. In this case, what you need to do is get a long noze pliers (at least four inches) and try to bring the rod back into its place (in the gromit). This happens when the gromit is worn. What I did for a simple fix, is run a tie wrap from the upper to the lower rods to keep the top one from popping out. I hope this helps.
