fuse blow out immediately
My 1993 toyota camry has some problems now. instrument panel light, real light, parking light don't work together. This happened half a year ago. After I changed the fuse, the problems were solved.
But this time, I changed the fuse, It blowed out immediately after i turn on the light. Two weeks before this happened, the backup light work sometimes and sometimes don't work. After all the lights don't work, the backup light work. Does anybody help me figure out where the electrical problem located. Should I take the car to shop to repair right now. Thanks a lot! |

Re: fuse blow out immediately
Many times problems like these can be traced to the loom of wires inside the trunk right near the trunk hinge on the driver's side. All the opening and closing of the trunk causes the wires in this loom to break and fray. Open up this loom and look for broken or frayed wires. Several frayed wires could be touching each other. If you find any, cover them up with a good quality electircal tape or some heat shrink tubing.

mike nailed it.
if the fuse is blowing instantly, you have a short to ground. most likely it is in the location mike stated. avoid taking it to a repair shop unless you know somebody there. it should be a simple repair (like mike described) that you can do yourself or, if you knew someone at a shop, you could get done for free. good luck! |
