Unhappy No Clutch pedal tension

I was having problems shifting into 1st,2nd and 3nd, I checked slave master cylinder fuild level good, installed a new clutch kit along with a used 5 sp trany. After everything all bolted up, still have clutch pedal engagemwent very soft pedal. Is the master cylinder bad or is the slave cylinder defective. When pressing the pedal it doesn't come back up.

Need Help ASAP.

Re: No Clutch pedal tension

I would replace both to tell you the truth, and make sure to do a thorough bleeding of the system.
