civic 2001 - car won't start! help!

help!

this morning when i started my car, it made this choking noise and all the lights came on (abs, key..) and it wouldn't start. at first, i thought i just turned the key too hard, so redid it, but it made the same noise and wouldn't go.

i can't figure out why. i mean, i was driving fine yesterday and had no warning signs. i don't know how to check cars, so......

any help anyone? what are your diagnosis??
