How to remove the Oil Pan on a 1993 Taurus
I need to change the oil pan gasket on a 1993 Taurus with 3.0 engine. I look under there and it seem like a simple job. It look like I only have to remove the exhaust system. But, like many cars looks can deseive you.
Do anybody know all of what I need to remove to change the gasket. Thanks, |

You have found the biggest obstacle. The repair is completely straight forward.

Quote:
Make sure you get the surfaces all clean, free from dirt, oil, and old gasket material. Then follow the instructions that came with the gasket. Make sure you use a torque wrench so the bolts and gasket has the correct pressure on them. I've gone around two to three times torquing the bolts. Regards Dan |
