Question Battery change / alarm reset

I replaced the battery in my 1999 Camry LE V6. The alarm system was off before I replaced the car's battery. When I installed the new battery, the horn went off as it would if the alarm was set and the car compromised. I used the remote to deactive the alarm and it stopped.

However, now the remote does not lock/unlock the doors or set the alarm as it did before I replaced the battery.

Does anyone know how I can get this to work again?

My remote is shaped sort of like a kidney bean with a 3-button configuration (two black, one green) that says "securikey+" on it.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Battery change / alarm reset

Do you have an owner's manual for that alarm system? If you do read through it. This should be covered. If you don't, go to the company's website and see if you can download one. Most manufacturers have downloadable manuals in PDF format on their site. You will need to know the model number of your system.

Thanks, Mike. I don't know why, but when I tried it today, it worked perfectly.
