Calling All Music Whores!

Hey guys, I've noticed lately that with all the crap I've been doing at school I haven't even paid any attention to what new music is out and what stuff would be good to have or be worth taking a listen. Therefore, I call on you all to throw out your latest fixations and suggestions (new is preferred but oldies are always goodies). Alrighty, what's in the AF CD player?

Re: Calling All Music Whores!

Just bought NOW 20 for my daughter for Christmas. Couple of songs on there I've been listening to lately, Missy Elliott's "Lose Control", and Franz Ferdinand's "Do You Want To" I also bought Big N Rich's new cd for my wife, I like their new hit "Comin' To Your City." My music tastes run the gamut from the '60s to the present, and most genres.

Re: Calling All Music Whores!

Not sure what kind of music you're in to, but I've been on a BIG Children of Bodom kick lately...their new album (Are you dead yet?) is great and you can never go wrong with Hatecrew Deathroll.

I'm getting on a Symphony X kick as we speak. Just downloaded a few songs and they're sweet as shit.

Plus there's always the Metallica, Slayer, BLS, Maiden, stuff like that that never gets old.

Re: Calling All Music Whores!

Disturbed, Acid Bath, Avenged Sevenfold. Disturbed new cd is great I think, and Acid Bath is just a new band to me. Avenged Sevenfold is also new to me, so I don't know how there new CD is. Can't think of any new songs that I like all that much. What genre we talkin' here?

It's not new by any means, but i've wiped off the dust and put in The Temptations "Give Love At Christmas." Motown CD. I have listened to this and the other one they have "Christmas Card" for several years on the first 25 days of December but my christmas card is scratched to hell somehow. Guess I'll get some holiday songs from Itunes. I know this is different, but i had a feeling no one else would say any christmas albums.

Re: Calling All Music Whores!

I'm pretty much looking for anything and everything. I just recently got the new Disturbed album, and while I like it, I prefer their first album to this one.

I've been meaning to get Kanye West as well as the new A7x. I'll have to check into those Christmas albums, I need some new Christmas music. I've been thinking about getting the Trans-Siberien Orchestra as well.

The new Franz Ferdinand album, "You Could Have It So Much Better" is an awesome piece of art, much better then their first album which was also awesome.

I've been listening to Bob Dylan and some Doors music. Little bit of Hendrix in there too.

Re: Calling All Music Whores!

Lately, I've been all about the new Nickelback, (but I've always loved nickelback)
I'm particularly attached to Photograph...
and I'm still hooked, after months, to Best of You by Foo Fighters.

A few other's I've been humming around the house...
Fallout Boys - Sugar, We're Going Down
Marshall Tucker Band - Can't You See
Kid Rock - Never Met A Motherfucker Quite Like Me
