Engine swap

I got a D15B2 stock engine in now i want to swap it out with a D16Y8. I want to know what will i have to change like harnesses or anything like that.

you'll have to wire over to mpfi, which means getting a resistor box, and wiring in two more injectors.

Or if you want to be real clean about it, you can get a si engine harness, and si interior harness and do a full swap over. but thats usually more costly and a bit more work to do, but its what I would do if I was converting to mpfi.

other than that, youll need to do a cable to hydro conversion if you are using the y8 trans, if not I sudjest getting a 89-91 si trans and the clutch to match the trans.

youll also need to convert to obd2. if you choose not to, you can use a pm6 ecu and dizzy, but then you'll have to engage vtec with a controller, or a rpm switch.

You can use a Y8 and convert to OBD1 (even though the engine is from an OBD2 car). Check www.rywire.com for mpfi/vtec conversion harnesses. OBD1 ecu for sohc vtec is p28. Search and read.
