First full photoshop rendering: generic jag/aston

i know the design is pretty much like everyother jag, but i dont care, this is simply a photoshop exercise. i took a very loose and quite frankly rubbish doodle i made while in a lecture and scanned it in. i spent a couple of hours on photoshop playing about and this is what i got:

I used warm and cold colours to make this pop. the cold was the green, the warm was the purple. i think it looks ok, but then i am colour blind, lol! it was certainly interesting. i've learned a lot about how to improve. my next task will be to do this to a 3d sketch as opposed to this crappy 2d one.

the original sketch, just for reference:

im aware of some little things that aint quite right, like the front splitter, but i needed to get back to doing uni work so i gave up.

let me know what you think. C and C as always.

Yeah, it has been a while. i've got a lot of work to do for uni at the moment. i just felt the need to create something last night 'cause i'd been dealing with numbers and technical stuff for too long.

the colour blindness isnt as bad as it sounds. i never even realised i was colour blind untill i took the test at school in a science class. that was a bit of a shock . As Legionofone said, i just 'see' colours different. in particular, odd shades of red and green. therefore i never see my stuff like a 'normal' person would. which is quite odd come to think of it. anyway, as long as i occasionally check if the colours look ok with a non-colourblind person i dont have any problems.

Re: First full photoshop rendering: generic jag/aston

I am part color-blind as well, get mixed up with reds/purples, pinks/purples, reds/oranges, and purples/blues.

Rendering looks phenomonal

Lol, Yeah I guess I forgot that One of my friends is partially colourblind, apparently he sees reds and greens as shades of grey? I dunno, that's what he said.

im not quite that bad. i still see reds and greens as what i percieve to be red and green. its just certain shades or when theres low light that i get confused and they just look like shades of grey.

My 5th grade teacher (Best teacher ever, brought video games into class for us to play LOL) was red-green colorblind. He couldn't tell them apart when they were next to eachother.

Welcome back!

The coloring is crazy. I love the tone variations, it's very realistic.

Wow.. really the warm colors. They look so bright and reflective. Did you do it in layers? Love the spokes, too. Super. Keep 'em coming. All these young guns inspire me... Robo

yup, lots of layers! i think i ended up with almost 30. that way i have total control and can go back and adjust any bits i dont like without affecting the later parts.
