civicb18c1 vs. vr4

last week i was on my way home when some asshole came up riding my ass. i slowed down so he could get next to me and when he changed lanes he blew passed me like nothing. i realized it was a mitsu 3000gt vr4. i caught up to this guy at the next light and asked if he wanted to race. i know my civic is quicker than the average civic but i was expecting to lose since this guy had awd and twin turbos. the light turned green and to my amazement i smoked this guy. i went and bragged to all my friends about it but they didnt believe a word i said. the next night i was hanging out with all my friends at the gas station when the same guy pulled up. he asked me if i wanted to race again but this time put some money on the line. we went and race and i spanked him again. now all of my friends finally believe me.

I call Unless the guy had something wrong with his car and didn't know how to drive, there's no way you should have beat him (let alone kept up with him).

Re: civicb18c1 vs. vr4

i find it somewhat believable because if it was a older model vr4 than it must have been worn out and maybe a little turbo lag too + a bad driver...it is kinda iffy though but i wont call bs

Re: civicb18c1 vs. vr4

The great thing is that most VR4 owners I've met THINK they are the fastest thing in the world. I applaud any Civic driver who can give one a fisting...even if it was a fluke.

Are you sure it was a VR4? After seeing what a friend of mine's VR4 could do (before he flipped it 5 times and slammed into a tree in midair), I find this hard to believe.

Re: civicb18c1 vs. vr4

i don't find it that hard to believe....a light little car w/ a decent amount of power beating an AWD TT car....VR4's aren't exactly light cars and if it was gettin old, i'm sure it isn't running as strong as it once was.....

NICE KILL.......

Re: civicb18c1 vs. vr4

It isnt far fetched at all. Older VR4s are worn out, as already mentioned above. Asides from being heavy, a bad driver can really screw up a launch, AWD or not, and that's the end of the race.

Re: civicb18c1 vs. vr4

i could buy it. an all motor gsr w/ some basic bolt ons can hang, thats for sure. my brother tore a 300ZX TT from the dig and it was all b/c of the launch. burned him nasty.

just wondering, what kind of civic is the gsr swap in? a hatch? vr4 can be some sick ass cars espicially if the person driving it knows wtf they are doing. that thing must have been stock and needed a tune up.

Re: civicb18c1 vs. vr4

thanx for all the support and for believing me everyone! my b18c1 is n/a and i am sure it was a vr4. i heard the turbos spooling and it had a big gay decal on the windshield advertising that. i searched up the specs for a vr4 after i beat it...those things way like 3800lbs with i think it was 300hp. my car ways just over like 2200 and i got 180hp.
