Help battery problem!!!

Alrite so my truck wont start ...at all. I can normally start it in the morning but it has a weak start..after the morning start i can get electricty flowing by opening the hood and playing with the battery and the cables and it will give me enough electricity for the lights and everything but as soon as i try to start the truck it dies. Sometimes it qoeks to jiggle the cables and sometimes it doesnt. What gets me is that if theres a short...i can jiggle the cables the electricty comes back but its not enough to start the truck.
I would really aprreciate anyone who could help me.

If you can get it started and running even by jumping it if you have to, you should take it to an auto zone by you. They can come out and hook up a little scanner and tell you exactly what is wrong so you're not spending all kinds of money on things that aren't bad.

Got it started and actually found out it just a bad connection between the wires and batttery so i cleaned the area off and tightened everything up and start everytime now thank you!
